By far my biggest passion project to date, and potentially the turning point for my passion for game design, revolves around one of my favourite video game franchises: the Tomb Raider series developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Amazon Games. In 2000, the original developers of the Tomb Raider series Core Design released a humble level editor for fans of Lara Croft to create their very own adventures. In the past 25 years, more than 3000 levels are available to download for free, with dedicated programmers all around the globe updating the editor with new engines for modern hardware to keep the community alive. I am thrilled to be among one of 1000s of fans who has published their own Tomb Raider fan game. Within the first year of my debut games release, it has reached the top 10 most downloaded fan level online, a feat I was proud to celebrate at a games conference in 2025 where I was interviewed on a panel with other builders about the impact the level editor community has had within the Tomb Raider fandom.
